UMN On-Campus AmeriCorps Ambassador Intern

Ambassadors are university students who work closely with ServeMinnesota to raise the AmeriCorps profile on campus and introduce AmeriCorps and national service to new and diverse student groups. The campus ambassador internship will build your communication and marketing skills. The position encourages creativity in engaging peers both with a team and individually.

As a campus ambassador you will be considered a local expert. After all, you know your campus better than anyone, and you can connect with groups of students who do not yet know how service can benefit their education, career path, and community. Interns will engage students on your campus by developing relationships with professors and student clubs, sharing AmeriCorps with your peers through presentations, tabling, social media, career fairs, and events. You will collect contact information and continue to follow up with individuals interested in service. There will also be opportunities to do research or provide support to other ServeMinnesota initiatives.

On-Campus AmeriCorps Ambassador Internship

Chief Operating Officer

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) directs, administers, and coordinates the internal operational activities of the organization in accordance with policies, goals, and objectives established by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the Board of Directors. Leads and directs the following functions: operations, finance, programming and grantmaking, human resources, security and risk management, information technology and systems. Assists the CEO in the development of organization policies and goals that cover these functions and/or business units mentioned above. ServeMinnesota is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment united by our shared mission. The COO is a member of the organization’s senior leadership team.

This position is based in downtown Minneapolis, but currently working a hybrid schedule. The salary is $139,000-148,000.

This position plays a key role in connecting the work of the External Relations and Development teams at ServeMinnesota as well as AmeriCorps programs and funders. Objectives include strengthening the organization’s ability to communicate and raise funds for its evidence-based results, impact, and innovations to achieve ServeMinnesota’s vision.  ServeMinnesota is committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment united by our shared mission.
